November 2017 TBR

Hey Bookworms! For those of you who have been following my reading journey on my Bookstagram or Twitter, you’ll know that I have had a pretty successful reading month in October – I managed to read about half of my October TBR list (plus a couple books that weren’t initially on it), and with everything going on, I am pretty proud of that! My stack of To Be Read Books is slowly (but surely) shrinking, and as I head into the next few months, I will be limiting myself when it comes to purchasing new books, so hopefully I will be able to complete my current TBR stack for the first time in months!

So, what will I be reading this month?

I am going to try and be realistic with myself this month – with my educational journey as a Teacher Candidate now well underway, I now know my time to read will be limited, so I am under no illusions of believing I will actually be able to finish every book on the below list – once again, even half would be an accomplishment!

  1. The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo (September 26, 2017)
  2. The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli (October 3, 2017)
  3. Shadowblack by Sebastien de Castell (October 5, 2017)
  4. Into the Bright Unknown by Rae Carson (October 10, 2017)
  5. Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C Dao (October 10, 2017)
  6. Runebinder by Alex R Kahler (November 14, 2017)
  7. The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty (November 14, 2017)
  8. Siege of Shadows by Sarah Raughley (November 21, 2017)

October 2017 TBR

Hey Bookworms! For those of you who have been following my reading journey on my Bookstagram or Twitter, you’ll know that I have a moderately successful reading month in September – I managed to read about half of my TBR list (plus a couple books that weren’t initially on it), and with everything going on, I am pretty proud of that! I’ve still got quite a stack of books to work through, but I’ll get there one day … right?

So, what will I be reading this month?

I am going to try and be realistic with myself this month – with my educational journey as a Teacher Candidate now well underway, I now know my time to read will be limited, so I am under no illusions of believing I will actually be able to finish every book on the below list – once again, even half would be an accomplishment!

Back to School Book List

Hey Bookworms! For those of you who have been following my reading journey on my Bookstagram, you’ll know that I have a relatively successful reading month in August – in fact, I nearly completely my entire TBR List! Of course, that was before I made a trip to The Book Outlet for some older, and found myself drowning in late August/early September releases that I just couldn’t pass up.

So, what will I be reading this month?

I am going to try and be realistic with myself this month – with a new apartment to unpack, and a brand new educational journey, I am not sure how much time I’ll have to read, so I am under no illusions of believing I will actually be able to finish every book on the below list – even half would be an accomplishment!

In addition, this month, since I will be tackling some older releases I picked up at The Book Outlet (2014 and earlier), I’ve split my reading list into two groups – The Old and The New!

The Old:

  1. Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier (May 22, 2012)
  2. Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier (May 28, 2013)
  3. Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier (October 7, 2014)
  4. Rebel Spring by Morgan Rhodes (July 15, 2014)

  5. Fireblood by Elly Blake (September 12, 2017)
  6. One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake (September 19, 2017)
  7. The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo (September 26th, 2017)

August 2017 Reading List

So here it is – another month of trying to tackle (and overcome) my forever growing To Be Read pile. For every book I finish, it seems like a new one just … appears (I swear, I’ve barely bought any new books this summer!).

So, what will I be reading this month?

Well, after a crazily busy July, I have a lot of catching up to do; I am setting some more reasonable reading goals for myself, and hoping that the few weeks that I do have off in August can be used for some quality reading time! That being said, much of this list may look similar to my recent TBR’s, but there’s some new books on here as well!

  1. Obsidian and Stars by Julie Eshbaugh (June 13, 2017)
  2. Thief’s Cunning by Sarah Ahiers (June 13, 2017)
  3. Spellslinger by Sebastien de Castell (May 4th, 2017)
  4. Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody (July 25th, 2017)
  5. Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes (December 11th, 2012)
  6. Mask of Shadows by Linsey Miller (August 29th, 2017)
  7. Wicked Liked A Wildfire by Lana Popovic (August 15, 2017)

So, what will you be reading this month? Let me know in the comments!

July 2017 To Be Read List

Let me start this off by first saying – Happy 150th Birthday Canada! Today, many Canadian bookworms, such as myself, are out and about celebrating the “birth” of our home nation. So what are we celebrating up here in the Great White North, you ask? The year 2017 marks 150 years since Confederation – what many consider to be the official creation of the Dominion of Canada. And while we celebrate this milestone, it is also important to remember that for many Indigenous people (and non-Indigenous people, too), Canada exists on stolen land. While multiple First Nations have treaty agreements with Canada, others do not; there are unceded territories, and broken treaties too. It’s your birthday, Canada, so make a wish. And make it count!
